Paquette, Galchenyuk traded to Hurricanes Senators


Cedric Paquette and Alex Galchenyuk have been traded to the Carolina Hurricanes the Ottawa Senators for Ryan Dzingel on Saturday.

Paquette, a ahead, scored one objective in 9 video games this season. He was acquired with defenseman Braydon Coburn in a commerce with the Tampa Bay Lightning on Dec. 27.

Chosen within the fourth spherical (No. 101) of the 2012 NHL Draft, Paquette has scored 86 factors (48 targets, 38 assists) in 386 regular-season video games with the Senators and Lightning and 12 factors (5 targets, seven assists) in 91 Stanley Cup Playoff video games. He gained the Stanley Cup with Tampa Bay final season.

“Cedric is a powerful, bodily ahead who gained the Stanley Cup with Tampa Bay final season,” Hurricanes normal supervisor Don Waddell stated. “We’re excited so as to add each of those gamers to our ahead group.”

Galchenyuk, a ahead who signed a one-year contract Oct. 28, scored one objective in eight video games this season.

The No. three decide within the 2012 draft, Galchenyuk has scored 321 factors (136 targets, 185 assists) in 557 regular-season video games with the Senators, Minnesota Wild, Pittsburgh Penguins, Arizona Coyotes and Montreal Canadiens and 13 factors (4 targets, 9 assists) in 32 playoff video games.

Dzingel, a ahead, has scored 4 factors (two targets, two assists) in 11 video games this season. He was chosen Ottawa within the seventh spherical (No. 204) of the 2011 NHL Draft.

Dzingel has scored 171 factors (76 targets, 95 assists) in 343 regular-season video games with the Hurricanes, Senators and Columbus Blue Jackets and 4 factors (three targets, one help) in 28 playoff video games.
