OWEGO, N.Y. — A New York State Police sergeant rescued a person stranded for hours in a automobile coated practically four toes of snow thrown a plow throughout this week’s storm, authorities stated.

The 58-year-old Candor man drove off the street and obtained plowed in a truck, authorities stated. He made a number of 911 calls and was stranded greater than 10 hours with out warmth.

Sgt. Jason Cawley dug means of the snow Thursday and located the car within the city of Owego, outdoors Binghamton.

The person had hypothermia and frostbite when he was faraway from the automobile. He was taken to a hospital for remedy.
