Republican leaders within the Senate and Home went full fascist Tuesday, casting votes that stop a bipartisan congressional committee from affirming its preparation for the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.

The decision, supplied Home Majority Chief Steny Hoyer at a gathering of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, failed on a 3-Three party-line vote after Senate GOP leaders Mitch McConnell and Roy Blunt joined Home Minority Chief Kevin McCarthy in opposing the fundamental principle that The Folks choose the president, not the delusional ousted head of the dropping occasion.

“The extent to which Republicans are refusing to simply accept the end result of the election and acknowledge Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as our subsequent President and Vice President is astounding,” Hoyer stated in an announcement following the assembly. “Their continued deference to President Trump’s mood tantrums threatens our democracy and undermines religion in our system of elections.”
