Coronavirus: First Covid-19 vaccine in NI given to nurse


The primary Covid-19 vaccine in Northern Eire has been given to the nurse who will head up the vaccine roll out in Belfast.

Sister Joanna Sloan from Dundrum in County Down was vaccinated on the Royal Victoria Hospital shortly after 08:00 GMT.

The 28-year-old was applauded colleagues after being given the Pfizer/BioNTech jab.
